Should l first apply moisturiser or SPF

When it comes to skincare, the consensus is to apply moisturiser before sunscreen. Starting with moisturiser is crucial as it hydrates the skin and creates a protective barrier, especially beneficial for dry skin. Well-hydrated skin allows sunscreen to be more effective, as it can be evenly absorbed and provide better protection against harmful UV rays.

Applying sunscreen on top of moisturiser ensures it stays in place and doesn’t mix with other products. A typical morning skincare routine involves cleansing, followed by toner (optional), moisturiser, and finally, sunscreen with at least SPF 30.

Remember to reapply sunscreen every two hours, particularly when exposed to the sun for an extended period of time. Consulting a dermatologist can help tailor a skincare routine to specific skin concerns and conditions.
